The Vintage 3989 is a re-issue of an archive style, faithfully re-created in our Cobbs Lane factory in Northamptonshire, England, handcrafted using traditional cobbler's techniques and machinery. The result? A fine piece of footwear, full of Dr. Martens heritage.

The shoe is made using Quilon, a durable, fine-textured recreation of the classic Dr. Martens leather that ages to perfection. Built to last, it's made using one of the finest methods of construction: the Goodyear Welt - which means the upper and sole are sewn together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch. The boot sits on our durable, comfortable AirWair? sole, that's oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. Our Made in England footwear may come with either a gold or yellow scripted heel loop --

100% Leather

Lining:
55% Leather, 45% Textile

Sole:
100% PVC

Material

Quilon Leather is crafted using traditional processes and features a contrast base colour for a two-tone finish.

Care Instructions

Clean Away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry apply correct coloured wax based shoe polish to restore colour and shine level as desired.

Construction

This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
